So far we have talked about tons of boots, accessories, and just about everything else but skinny jeans! Skinny jeans, I think, are a must have. They made a huge comeback about 5 or so years ago as a girls must have. Before it used to be just the skater boys and scene girls who were them.
Honestly, I consider cigarette and skinny jeans to be all in the same category so I'll just post about both. :)
I've always really liked the black JBrand skinny jeans. I don't think I've seen anyone look bad in them. I have given up on buying pricey jeans so instead I went with the Jolts from Nordstrom, the 2nd pair.
These are BDG from Urban Outfitters. I have these and they are so stretchy and cute. I like them but some of my friends called them grandma pants. You can't really see it but it has white stitching I like.
A classic pair of Levis are always nice. These are skinny but have the classic blue look. There called Levis 421 Patched Skinny Jeans and you can find them at Urban Oufitters too. The ripped look makes them even better.
If you can't tell yet, I really like Urban Outfitter so if you haven't guessed it, these are a pair of Urban Outfitter jeans. They're BDG Acid Washed Cigarette. Like Carolyn mentioned, they are totally Saved By The Bell and way awesome.
I had a really nice pair of acid washed jeans from Billabong that weren't that pricey but somehow found their way in the salvation army box :( RIP

Straight From Carolyn's Closet
I'm starting to really like this blog :) It's kinda addicting hehe. I've been posting a lot of celebrities, so I wanted to post something different this time. Well, why not let you guys in on my closet!? Chosen are the best pieces from my shoes, clothes, and accessories with where I purchased them from.
This purse is from Forever 21. I like the orange-brownish color, because it makes the purse so vibrant. What I love about this purse is that the straps are adjustable, and the size is perfect (not too big, not too small).
This shirt from Urban Outfitters is one of the best shirts I have ever bought! It's a plain black shirt, but then the slits on the sleeves make it so unique.
Thank god I got a pedicure! These heels are from Urban Outfitters. I love the chunky, short heel because it's enough to give you an inch of tallness while stay comfortable. The net and laces are so crazy. I usually get blisters, so I like that the back is open...free from blisters!!!!
Now from head to toe, you've seen the best from my closet :)
I'm OUT!

Rings are my favorite. The first one is from ALDO. This ring has a lot of different shades of purple and a gold outline. The second and third one is from Topshop (thanks bff kim). I wear a lot of black so these big, colorful rings lighten up my outfit. The gold one is a combination of three separate rings which adds a lot of versatility.
Chunky necklaces are the best!!! This one is from Forever 21. Plain tank tops and low cut shirts become flattering when this necklace is worn. The combination of rusty gold, chains, and flowers is sexy.... yes a necklace can be sexy.
This headband is from ALDO. It reminds me of the winter time and Blair in Gossip Girl, amazing. I love wearing this with my black, lacey dress.

These skinny, ripped up jeans are from Foreign Exchange. I love this acid wash (it reminds me of Saved by the Bell)! Also, the rips in the jeans aren't too crazy, so I still can keep it conservative but not really ;)
Now from head to toe, you've seen the best from my closet :)
I'm OUT!

Compromising with Rain
Sadly, yesterday rained. The good news is now I get to post up all the cute things to wear in the rain! The rain wants to make people look ugly by forcing them to wear big jackets, soaked jeans, running make up, and oh yes the damp, stinky hair. After working in retail (particularly shoes), I can't stop thinking about shoes. So to vent, I must elaborate on how necessary rain boots are. Wearing a rain boot instead of your everyday boots protect those boots from being ruined in the rain. The suede, leather, or whatever is bound to get ruined.
I've been meaning to hit up Target to get these awesome rain boots. They're only $24.99! Oh that makes me happy :) I love that the inside is pink and on the outside there are horses.
Here is Nicole Richie in her green Hunter rain boots. I'm not her biggest fan, but she is pulling off these rain boots pretty well. I like her comfy outfit then BAMM RAIN BOOTS.
I need to listen to my own advice so I'm going to invest in rain boots!

There's also a plain black one for the same price. I really want a red one, but I'm still on a mission to find the perfect one!
I'm not very into brands, but this Burberry Heart Check Print Rain Boot is adorable! I like rain boots with designs that make the boot very young and fun looking.
So I guess a lot of celebrities that wear rain boots wear the Hunter brand. At first I was bothered by the tag in front of the boot, but now it has grown on me. The celebrity wearing it here is Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen. I don't know and I don't care, but I like her boots. I'm not sure if I personally could pull it off, but it's unique because it's not the normal plain rubber.

******************BREAKING NEWS******************
I followed my own advice and just bought the Hunter rain boots. I'm loving it!!!!!
Out of all the colors I was stuck between the green and red one. I realized the red was much cuter and easy to wear than the green. Plus, some random ladies went crazy over the red ones. Currently, I am wearing them with blue skinny jeans, a black long sleeve, and a gray sweater. I'll be wearing these boots everyday.
P.S. My best friend Kim said Hunter boots are huge in New York :)

A Few of My Favorite Things
Suspenders
They are an accessory that could be the main part of your outfit that is bold and stands out or they can be just very subtle where it just barely shows under a jacket. You can wear the colored or sequined ones for some added flair to a otherwise dull outfit.
I don't know who the first person is but she makes her outfit look really cute with a plain-skinny-black pair of suspenders, scarf, and the jacket. The second picture is obviously Victoria Beckham. The all white outfit with the bold pop with the suspenders.
Tees, Singlet, Cut ups
I could live in tees, but then if I did, I would run out of things to talk about. You could really never get tired of a simple T because there are so many different kinds, band, commercial, graphic, and those cheesy tees with lame phrasing on them. What I really like are the cut up tees. I think you could wear them with a lacy bra under, bando, or an American Apparel lame bra.
Skarlett Saramore is known for rocking the cut up tee. You probably don't know who she is so I won't bother explaining.
She is also rocking the suspenders, but this time in red. She make a band tee look right. She just dressed it up with her suspenders, a necklace, and cuffed sleeves. Loves it.

Accessories
Just like Carolyn, I'm absolutely must get my hands on these knuckle/multi-finger rings. They are different and just badass.
Just like all my accessories, I wear this Skullcandy necklace way too much. I just through it over anything just to make something simple a little more interesting.
When people see me wearing this Marc by Marc Jacobs spike ring, they always assume I'm about to hurt someone with it. This definitely makes a statement.
Several other things I really like but aren't listed, you'll see scattered throughout my postings. Something I have really grown to like are those blazer vests. They look like blazers with the sleeves cut off of them. I've seen a really awesome one from Zara with these gold studs all along the collar but I can't find a picture of it. Oh well.

All About the Accessories
Bedazzle plain outfits by accessorizing them! Since I am big on finding the best deals, I will be posting the cutest accessories with bearable prices.
Charlotte Russe is a hard place to shop at, because their jewelery usually looks so cheap. However, I have to admit they have good deals. These rhinestone flower earrings are $4 and very vintage looking. It's hard to find dangling earrings, so simple ones like these always work.
Tift by ALDO is a $14.98 necklace I have had my eye on. The picture is deceiving. There are a lot of chains and a lot of crosses involved, which make the necklace so edgy looking. With a plain top or dress, this necklace will accessorize it enough. I've always been a fan of bulky necklaces.

A Touch of Edge
Winter is upon us and who doesn't love fall trends (since California only has 2 seasons). As the days get colder, clothes get darker. It seems as if the more rocker, dark look is coming back full force. It seems as though the staple items for the season are biker boots, red lipstick, and any type of over-sized top.
Boots
Looking for something comfortable but sure to stand out? Shoes have always been a girls guilty pleasure but this time around, it might not be heels that are on our minds. The common trend in boots are studs, buckles, leather, and lace-ups. It seems as though we should throw in some whips and chains and we'll have ourselves a party. This particular pair of Doc Martins have been decked out in studs but a few years ago, no fem girl would ever have dared to wear Doc Martins, you don't want to be mistaken for a "butch lesbian". Now girls are trying to get their hands on a pair that can range from black to hot pink.
Bainey boots from Aldo. I have a pair similar to these but not quite. All the studs and buckles really shows the edgy side to an outfit.
Here are a pair of similar shoes but with a heel, which I love.
These pictures really don't do the shoes justice.
Red Lipstick
It has been seen on the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Gwen Stefani, Lucille Ball, Dita Von Tease, and even on Marilyn Manson. throw it on in the evening and it makes a girl feel feminine instantly. Even though I am talking about the edgy look and Taylor Swift is far from it, in these pictures, she looks very mysterious and glamorous.
I realized there are way to many tops I can post about so I'll just have to dedicate a separate post for that.

Making a Sequin Statement
Lately, I've been observing a lot of sequins. It's agreeable that sequins are very flashy. However, sequins can add confidence to your outfit.
I would like to hit Holly Montag and Stacie from the reality show, The Hills, for wearing this. Let's start with Holly first. Holly's dress is too skin tight for her. It is unattractive, and she makes it worse by wearing purple tights to kill people's eyes. In similarity, Stacie wears a sequin dress with an unappealing cut. Maybe it's one of her bartender outfits.
Here is Little Boot in a sequin overcoat. I have no idea who she is, but her sequin overcoat is too cute. The way it is incorporated into her outfit is amazing. The sequin overcoat is a nice addition to her romper since those are too skin showing during the winter.
PLEASE DON'T WEAR THIS

SEQUINS, THE RIGHT WAY

This is a playful way to wear it. Instead of wearing it dressy, throw some sequins into a comfy outfit. The silver sequins look very cute for the winter. Silver sequins, black, and navy blue... so pretty! My favorite sequin clothing would be sequin overcoats and blazers.
Expect to see a whole lot of Miley Cyrus. I love her different styles from youthful to edgy. This outfit is simplistic made complicated, and it's definitely appealing. Miley has been having a rocker look craving so this outfit just satisfies it. It's plain at first with the tank top, but then adding on the mini sequin skirt and a lot of accessories creates a whole different look to it.

NOT PLEASING TO THE EYES
SOME OUTFITS ARE JUST MEANT TO BE KEPT IN THE CLOSET...
I'm usually in love this Rihanna's bold move and trend setting styles, but not so much this jacket. Hopefully this fashion mistake won't happen again. Moving on to another fashion mishap, which hopefully none of you guys are ever caught doing.
And what do we have here? Paula Abdul. tsk tsk tsk... someone needs to tell homegirl that leopard print or any kind of animal prints are not acceptable. Yes, it seems like alot of girls are still wearing it, and that is exactly my point. Walking into class and seeing not one but three other girls are wearing cheetah prints, is similar to going to prom and finding other girls wearing your exact dress. That's a NO NO.
If you're not an expecting mother, please don't even let this dress crosses your mind.

Leather it up!
Leather at its best...
Olivia Palermo in a leather corset makes me want shop immediately (online or physically). It's too ridiculous to handle. Elegantly worn, she wears a high waisted skirt to keep her figure flawless and tops it off with jewelery. I must mention as well that her hair done up keeps her outfit less complicated and her red nails add a little color. Perfection!
Yes, I have to include this boot. "Brendal" by ALDO is my favorite boot I have ever owned. I could go on about this one. The big advantage of this boot is that you can wear it casually or dressy. Casually - jeans and a cute top or dressy - fitted dress and tights. Moreover, I'm 5'4 so this boot extends my body length just enough. The leather is very soft and the color is classy. Some boots have shine to the leather or just plain out synthetic looking. This boot has a matte look. Even the heel is something to talk about. This chunky heel makes it so comfortable and looks better than the skinny hoochie mama heels. "Brendal" is practical for everyday wear and trendy.
Lastly, a leather skirt is desperately needed. Leather is very risky, because it can make you look very cheap or just biker. Lauren Conrad, being the classy girl she is, tastefully throws in a leather skirt while wearing a fully covered top. She's showing off her legs already, so she is wise to cover up her top. Even a long leather skirt and a skin showing top could work. Nice!!
As for leather jackets, just watch out for cheap looking leather. Oh and leather accessories are a thumbs up :)
